PowerPivot has RTM’ed

OK. You have seen the announcements. You have heard the trumpets sound.

SQL Server 2008 R2 has “released to manufacturing” (RTM’ed) and will be available soon!

EXCELLENT! WOW! OUTSTANDING!

So what does it mean to this blog. First and most importantly, I am going to be reposting all of the installation guides with RTM bits and screen shots. For more information on SQL Server 2008 R2 take a look here: (http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/tour/en/default.aspx)

Second, if you read anything posted in this blog later than today, unless I specifically say that something is CTP or “the older stuff”, then what I am referring to is RTM. Lots and lots of things have changed CTP to RTM. Rather than concentrating on the delta, I am just going to tell you the RTM story. Unless mentioned directly, RTM is the assumed basis for all information.

And so the story continues . . .
