PowerPivot and data feeds . . .

Very cool podcast with John Hancock concerning data feeds – http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail4453.html

Abstract: PowerPivot, a new add-in for Excel, can absorb and analyze vast quantities of data. And it can ingest that data from sources that support that Atom-based OData protocol. John Hancock, who led the charge to add support for data feeds to PowerPivot, tells host Jon Udell how it works, why it supports OData, and what this will mean not only for corporate business intelligence but also for the analysis of open public data.

    Hy,

i have a wierd error when creating a Data Refresh Schedule for a PowerPivot Document.

My Data Source is a .atomsvc from a normal Sharepoint List and I connect via SSS to it.

When the Refresh wants to collect the Data, I get an error in the Log/Refresh Protocol:

“Fehler im relationalen Modul. Ausnahme bei der Verwendung der verwalteten IDbConnection-Schnittstelle: The network path was not found. ;The network path was not found. The network path was not found. . Mit der Datenquelle mit dem DataSourceID-Wert ‘95208a50-d0ca-446e-b41a-ef6ca17bf90c’ und dem Namen ‘DataFeed PP Testdaten’ konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden. Fehler beim Verarbeiten der PP Testdaten-Tabelle. Der Vorgang wurde abgebrochen.”

I only have the errormessage in german, but I think you will understand the “The network path was not found” error.

    Any Ideas?
