For those interested, I’ve been able to get some of the PowerPivot demos running again. Here is a quick status:
- Contoso Retail Warehouse workbook: RUNNING!
- NFL Stats: (not yet – it points to the PowerPivot Gallery where the demos are stored!)
- USDA Analysis: (not yet – it points to the PowerPivot Gallery where the demos are stored!)
- NBA Stats: RUNNING!
- FAA Bird Strikes Analysis: RUNNING!

As this is now running with RTM bits for everything, we are hope that stability is better than the previous site.

Hi, the demo isn’t working: apparently there is a problem with the username/password…

Hmm… I just tried them and they all worked. Can you please try again? We’ve run into issues with customers coming in via proxy servers and other corporate links. Try from the public Internet. Drop me a line if you still cannot get in.
Still not working from a corporate intranet… I’ll try at home tonight.
It appears that the credentials are not accepted: it pops up the login box three times (as if it didn’t accept the password) and then shows a blank page.
Can you remove the authentication piece?

Unfortunately PowerPivot requires an authenticated user. We don’t support anonymous users.
If you cannot get access from home, please drop me a line. I run the demos all of the time and so I know that in general they work.
I can not log in using the user name and password provided. Can you please advise?

Works for me. Can you please try again? Also, please make sure that you are coming in from the public Internet. I’ve seen several cases where company firewalls are blocking the credential exchange.
